Hello Dan
I don't know what Baofeng told you but the two BF1909s that they delivered to me
modulate in ANALOG, not in digital. I have a measuring bench and can assure you that
the modulation is analog. Not digital.
The excursion on those delivered (with 16 frequencies is for wide band) is approximately
5 to 6 KHz (swing) and the power on all these channels is over 2 Watts! (Prohibited in France)
I therefore wanted to program them in PMR and with 0.5W or even less because
for construction sites, 0.2W is more than sufficient. Unfortunately, Chirp legacy in 32 Bits
does not have the programming of this series of firmware which is similar to BF1901...
which is in the latest version in 64 Bits.
I therefore wanted to simply program them in PMR frequency on two channels.
Alas in 32 bits...for the moment...Not possible because my two PCs are under 32 bits

Please be careful making authoritative-sounding statements like this to such a wide audience. I think you meant to say "CHIRP does not support any DMR radios" and that is probably true. However, it supports plenty of other D-STAR and YSF radios to make the claim about "any digital radio models" demonstrably false.
