I don't know anything about Apples so I might be wrong...If you've only got Bluetooth in a Connect menu then doesn't that mean that no hardware (wired) ports are currently available for data Tx/Rx? Assuming that a USB connector is available for data Tx/Rx (and not just for charging) then it might need enabling via a setting before it will appear on the Connect menu.Alternatively, the Connect menu might be specific to Bluetooth only. Perhaps there is another menu for USB functions.73, ChrisFrom: chirp_users-bounces@intrepid.danplanet.com <chirp_users-bounces@intrepid.danplanet.com> on behalf of chirp_users-request@intrepid.danplanet.com <chirp_users-request@intrepid.danplanet.com>

I have used CHIRP in the past with an older MacBook with no issues. Now I have the MacBook Pro 2018 with USB-C.
-I have the Apple supplied FTDI drive & no others.
-Only bluetooth shows up in the connect menu
-I also am using a new Baofeng. I used to have the UV-5R but now I?m using a BF-F9HP which I understand is supposed to be a UV-5R variant. Do I select UV-5R or BF-F8 in the menu?
Can anyone provide a starting point?
Best regards,
Phillip
