I have not used it yet but I believe that you have to export first from your radio to your computer. That establish a contact between the computer and your radio. Then change the spreadsheet, that is a part of Chirp, enter all your frequencies and then import that spreadsheet into your radio. Please let me know if that works as I have ordered a beaufang from China and I will have to do that too.

Just a clarification because I'm doing the same thing - after I copy/paste into the radio csv file, and save it as a csv file, then I import that csv file using Chirp. Am I importing to Chirp or using Chirp to import to the radio?

Do not create the frequency list in exel! Download the image from the radio export it to csv file , edit it using exel and import that file.

I have saved a frequency list in excel as a csv file. When I try to import it into Chirp it says it does not recognize the file type. I just downloaded Chirp so I have the most current version for windows. Any help would be appreciated.
