You just type it into the Frequency cell of the memory spreadsheet editor.
If you are talking about entering the frequency into the VFO using the
keypad (which has nothing to do with CHIRP), you do the following:
1 set menu 1 (STEP) to a value that is compatible with the frequency
that you want to enter
2 key in the 1st 6 digits of the frequency
3 press the [^] up arrow key once
For example if you want to listen to FRS channel, 462.5625 MHz
1 Set STEP to 2.5KHZ, 6.25KHZ or 12.5KHZ
2 Key in 462562 (after entering the last 2, the frequency will be
rounded off to the 1st STEP compatible frequency below the desired
frequency)
3 Press the [^] up arrow key once (the display will read "462.562"
followed by a very small 5)
