1- On the xp when its works (before the virus )the cable was ok, so the cable issue is ok( i think ). 2- I opend a two different com ( com3/com6 ) but the same result.

The error message indicates that your cable is not plugged in all the way.
A common problem as Baofeng doesn't manufacture their own cables.

Hello there.
I have a UV5R BFB251 . i put the latest chrip & the usb driver 3.2.0.0
on win 7 becuse my computer have been with a virus but notning working with
the UV5R .i can see the com 3 ok & the driver 3.2.0.0 ok no yellow sigh .
when i operte chrip after a few ceconds the messege is " Radio did not respond "
on xp it was working good ...
what is the setting for the com is it 1200 baud ? is it xon/xoff ?
