Your radio might not be programmable by CHIRP because you have a fake Prolific chip on your cable. Have you checked that out?

You might also consider that you have a fake radio. I eventually discovered that I have one. It works but the radio is not programmable via Chirp.
I couldn't believe that there would be such a thing as a fake copy of a Chinese radio. Is that Kama?
