In the past I bought also a programming cable with counterfit FTDI chip in it. Windows refuses to work with it. With a legitimate chip it does work. Maybe this is your problem?
Kind regards, Met vriendelijke groet, Henk Warnitz
Excuses als ik wat kort reageer. Een mobiel typt wat slecht.

I have searched the archive and could not find an answer.
I just purchased a Btech FTDI programming cable. I have been unable to use this cable with the CHRIP programming software, I get a "No response from radio" error message when I try to read any Baofeng radio. I have multiple UV-5R and BF-888s radios, I have tried programming on 3 different computers using Windows 7, 10 and 11 with the same problem! When I look at the device manager, everything looks correct on all 3 computers. If I try using the BF-888 software on the BF-888s radio everything works as it should!
Do you have any suggestions to fix this problem? _______________________________________________ Users mailing list users@lists.chirpmyradio.com https://lists.chirpmyradio.com/postorius/lists/users.lists.chirpmyradio.com To unsubscribe, send an email to users-leave@lists.chirpmyradio.com To report this email as off-topic, please email users-owner@lists.chirpmyradio.com List archives: https://lists.chirpmyradio.com/hyperkitty/list/users@lists.chirpmyradio.com/
