How it is supposed to work is:
- You download your radio's memories using CHIRP.
- You edit using a spread sheet program, such as OpenOffice, LibreOffice
or MicroSoft Office, saving as the same type file that you opened. 3) Uploading to the radio with CHIRP the changed file.
I am a Chirp developer and step 2 is new to me! Just use Chirp's built-in editor. You're much less likely to break stuff that way--you'll even get appropriate error messages if you enter something impossible (like an HF frequency for a 2m rig).
