The latest build seems to solve the version mismatch; "about" is correct and I no longer get a message to update when starting Chirp.

The flatpak version of CHIRP is something that has been recently added. There may be a bug in the build process. There was a bug that was recently discovered in the Windows build process that had to be addressed.
