Radio works, AFAICT, I'm trying to use CHIRP to program it.

Programming cable: USB Programming Cable for Baofeng UV-5R UV-3R+ Two way Radio With Driver CD -- Sold by Ham Radio Store 

Following these instructions from CHIRP Radio tab:

Baofeng UV-5R Instructions

1. Turn radio off.

2. Connect cable to mic/spkr connector.

3. Make sure connector is firmly connected.

4. Turn radio on.

5. Ensure that the radio is tuned to channel with no activity.

6. Click OK to download image from device.

Have tried the instructions in both Frequency Mode and Channel Mode
