Another possibility would be to gather together enough owners of TH-9800 who would like to see complete chirp support and entice them to chip in enough to offset the cost of one unit to donate to an interested developer (myself included).

A feature that for now I will sorely miss. It is ironic to have 800 memory channels and no way to import.

I've no found a way to import files into the TYT software.  This is just 1 thing, among many, that the CHIRP software has that others do not.

Hi David,

Thanks!
This is indeed the TYT software I was referring to.
It unpacked as 201454150045945-2 and installed as TH-9800 Eng\Program.exe.
Really pretty darn nice for programming channels one at a time, but I
can't see a way to import a bunch at a time.
The .dat files that are the config files are very space concious but are
far from editable.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for the help!
