The radio is setup for "Narrow" using menu 55, so that wasn't the issue. The other thing Notice is when I look at a channel that is off, I change the setting from Name to Freq, example again 477.3875 becomes 377.3800. But when I move down or up a single memory slot, then come back to 477.3875/477.3800 is then displays as 477.3825. Step size is setup for "Auto" in the radio, but coded in CHIRP as 12.5
Even after reading back the radio in Narrow, I can't chose 2.5khz.

Switch to NARROW mode and download your template. You should have the ability for 2.5 steps. If the software doesn't support it which I can think of no reason why, then you can manual program the steps in. Remember with the FT60 you have to recreate the channel structure in VFO mode then overwrite your channel to change.
The FT60 does support 2.5 steps when in narrow mode. How you match that up with programming via Chirp I don't know because I've not done it with software.
Milton.

Thanks for the advice Milton, but 2.5 isn't supported on this radio. Any other suggestions?

Set the step resolution to 2.5 khz. That is if it is available.
