I read with a previous Boafeng model, the UV 3R, that if you hold down the
U/V button on start-up, it will reset it.
Someone else suggested holding down the monitor key while powering on.
Also, holding down the button below the zero key locks/unlocks it.

I have a quick question about my UV-5RA. I know many people on the list
