Maybe you are thinking of a newer
UV5R.
This is the older model, on the left side, there
are three rubber buttons.
The big one in the center is PTT, and the bottom
one opens the squelch, and the top button, which is the one I need, either
switches to commercial FM if tapped quickly, or does the light, or siren,
depending on how the menus are set.

Uv5r has two Ptt buttons. Top for channel in A and the
other to ptt on the B display
Below both of the ptt buttons is a fm button for commercial fm listening.
The next small button is the mini to open the squelched channel.

Hi,
I just picked up a couple Baofeng UV5Rs
to program for a friend and his
wife, since they don't have a
programming cable.
One of them is missing the button above the
PTT button, it is the one used
to toggle in and out of
commercial FM.
Does anyone have an old broken UV5R from which
you can send me the
button?
Thanks.
