No, it tells me to use port 3.  I also tried several others just to see what would happen.  I tried changing the bit rate and always got negative results.  One of these days I'll try loading the factory program for the Wouxun, if it works it might prove a point of some kind.  Other than that I can always use the Vista machine, it uses port 6 and always works FB.

Hi Jim,

It sounds to me like you may be selecting the wrong com port. It is
most likely different from what it was before. Look in device manager
to see which port is being assigned to your programming cable.
