If the adjacent signal is strong enough that will happen. Remember these are $40 radios. Can you enable PL for that frequency?

I seem to now have CHIRP programming issues worked out finally!... but now I have another issue!
While monitoring a service on 453.5625 I get bleed over from a service on 453.5500. I have entries set for NFN (narrow FM),
Any ideas from anyone? Setting or bad radio??
Thanks, Bob/KF3BY

Jim I am still having issues with programming my BF-F8+. I am having trouble getting CTCSS to program and stay properly.
Settings are
not staying as I program them.
I am trying to set the following: Tone Mode = Tone Tone = 141.3 Offset = 6.0000 Duplex = + Any suggestions? Is there a special sequence in Chirp?
Thanks again! ~Bob KF3BY
Bob,
Yes... there is sort of a special sequence.
For example, when you click on 141.3 to choose it, it is not selected yet. You must either press the [Enter] key or click onto another cell to make the selection "stick". Until you do this, you can press the [Esc] key to abort the selection and it will revert back to the original value.
A quick way to make sure that you have fully selected everything is to click on the [Refresh] button at the top of the spreadsheet style Memory Editor. If after you click this button, the value reverts back to its original value, it wasn't fully selected.
Another way to change the settings of a memory row so that you will know the changes will be 100% selected when you are done editing is to use the Memory Properties editor. To use this editor, click on a memory row to highlight that row (clicking on the leftmost Loc number works best). Then click the [Properties] button at the top of the spreadsheet style Memory Editor. This will bring up the Memory Properties editor for that row. Note: An alternative way to select the Memory Properties editor is to Right-click the desired memory row and then choose "Properties" from the pop-up dialog box.
Make all of the desired changes in the Memory Properties editor. When done, click the [Ok] button and all of the changes will be made permanent.
A nice feature of the Memory Properties editor is that you can use it to edit multiple memories at the same time. To do this you would use Ctrl-Click and Shift-Click to highlight multiple memory rows. When the [Properties] button is pressed while multiple rows are selected, the Memory Properties editor will change the properties of all of the selected memories at the same time.
For example, lets say the 7 NOAA Weather Alert frequencies were imported from the CHIRP stock config file. You would highlight these 7 memories and then bring up the Memory Properties editor. In the Memory Properties you would "tick" the box to the left of Duplex to open it for editing and then set Duplex = "off" (to inhibit TX on these memories). Then you would "tick" the box to the left of Skip and set Skip = "S" (to skip these memories when scanning). Then click the [Ok] button to make these changes permanent.
