has over 5,000 members that have tackled every issue the UV5R can throw at you.

They would probably be best to handle the hardware side and resolve in a manner of minutes.

Can't get the USB cable to work, thus can't upload or download. Can't get the freq. organized in the order I'd like..........Mainly can't get the USB cable to work. ie, idenify correct com port, proper unit, UV-5RA, verision 293??

After two days of trying to download etc.......can't get to upload to radio, save program, burn cd......I'm not a programer and don't plan on becoming one.........I have windows 7, but feel like I'm trying to use a brick.........Frustrated.
