Can you include the debug.log or console output from chirp?
What version of chirp are you running? (if you haven't tried the latest daily, please do)
Since you have a mac, have you tried mac version of chirp?

I'm able to upload but not download. When I try to download I get an "error" message on the Yaesu. Nothing happens in CHIRP until I power off the Yaesu then I get a failure message.
I tried this on two different Linux boxes. One a Xubuntu 13.10 netbook and the other a Xubuntu 13.10 VM running on my MacBook.
This is important to me since I often program radios of others when we officiate bicycle races. Being able to add frequencies to their existing list is essential.
FWIW, a similar cable worked just fine on my Baofengs.
TIA for any help. _______________________________________________ chirp_users mailing list chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/listinfo/chirp_users
