When I started Chirp I selected ICOM and the only choice is Detect. Clicked on the Okay button.

Okay, a recent change in the build system has caused it not to pick up the last few days of changes for the win32 build. A new build is on its way, but since nothing has been fixed for the 92 driver in a while, I don't think you're going to see a difference (other than being able to select your driver manually).
