I went to the Miklor website to try and diagnos some problems I am having
in establishing the correct driver. Miklor said the WCH chipset will not
recognize Prolific drivers, then said to follow a particular link, but it
is in Chinese. I have Windows 10. What can I do?

Correct. You can't use one vendor's device driver with another vendor's chip.

You just need to go to the WCH chip vendor's English website.

The ch340 chip of my cable was automatically recognized by win10. no
installation of a driver was required. plug and play!
