Thanks Marco. That explains Steve's question. Then why would the Power column be there? Can't it be suppressed? Or am I still missing something?

FT897 does not have the power level in each memory, that Chirp column is
unused for this radio.
Instead it has 4 different power set for HF, 6m, VHF and UHF; that can
be found in Chirp inside the settings tab.
The radio automatically set power level according any time is tuned to
each band.
