I just noticed that CHIRP accesses Repeater Book and when I try to download local repeaters around Marshfield misses W1ATD because it's listed only as DV. It only downloads when I check of DV. If you select FM only it doesn't download the information about W1ATD.. If you select DV only it downloads the info about W1ATD. Can this be fixed and can you have it fixed for everyone? AJ1L says: It doesn’t show if you just select FM only. It did come up if I didn’t limit certain modes though. Maybe you might want to drop them a note to let them know. 73 DAVID N1EA

Hi! I recently purchased this radio and there's no software that I can find for it. It seems to have a quite different way of programming than all the baofengs, SenHaix and others I've had. I've programmed the PMR channels by hand, but it was very time consuming and I don't know if there are some options I haven't accessed yet. If the model would be added, that'd be great. Thanks!

[chirp_users] Windows not showing Ports

For Archie Miller and Jim Unroe Windows 11 Home does not show ports by default. However, if you open Device Manager and look at the top ribbon; there is a tab called view. Click on view and you will get a dropdown menu. If you click the option "Show hidden devices" a check mark will appear next to it. Now, look at the list of devices and you will have a tab for Ports (COM & LPT) displayed in the list. This should cure most of your problems.

I'm having problems with the latest version of CHIRP. Where can I find an older version? Say CHIRP 20221217 GTK 2.24.10. It appears some of the features I like in CHIRP went away in the latest version. Thanks. Doc Stevens 912.266.5415
