Greetings, A new daily build of CHIRP is available. This includes changes made directly to the tree yesterday, and may include additional features, bug fixes, and/or bugs. CHIRP currently expects to see the "\x00\x06" as the response so the process fails if the "\x00" is missing. This patch "chews up" the "\x00 if present and then only the individual "\x06" is expected as the ACK. The Retevis RT76 seems to have the same issue and is fixed as a result of this patch. Note though, that support for the PX-2R is also not working. Reading from or writing to the radio, especially writing to the rig, as it will need a full factory reset afterwards, loosing anything you may have manually entered into the rig. See https://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/6389 for details. Bernhard Hailer did look into it, for which I'm grateful, and reported that there seems to be a fundamental data value range limit issue elsewhere in Chirp that causes problems. "Looks like the number of DCS codes reported by the radio exceeds what Chirp expects or can handle." I have on several occasions tried to program my Baofeng uv5r, and every time I get to the point where I Import info to radio Chirp informs me it is not working Any suggestions??? Joel KO4QFK

[chirp_users] CHIRP runs on Windows 11

I just confirmed that CHIRP is running on the leaked Windows 11 Pro 64-bit preview. I am using a generic 6-in-1 programming cable with Prolific USB-to-Serial chip. I have installed the Prolific v3. 2. 0. 0 driver but the Prolific v3. 8. 39. 0 auto installed by W11 is currently selected and working. Jim KC9HI
