Afternoon I'm new at this,I want to manually input(type) the channels on Leiers sheet into my radio BF-888 program. I have never done it so I don't know all the abbreviations on the chirp top task bar. Can someone please assist? Thank you

Greetings, I have a Tidradio TD-F9GP and I am attempting to program channels on the Chirp application on my MacBook Pro. I am running on macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 and it is giving me the error (Radio did not respond). I am not the most tech savvy and would like some assistance with this issue. [chirp_users] Linux newbie looking for a GUI update solution

One more shot here. I initially downloaded and (somehow) installed the flatpak version. It works. I have cloned two radios with it. It just tells me it would like to be updated, and I can't figure out how to do it. Nothing in my right-click quiver will open the new flatpak. It just sits there in my downloads folder. I've had competent users walk me through the steps on the web page, but they didn't work. At some point, should I uninstall what I have, keeping the couple of .img files I've generated, and try to install either through the software manager, or should I grab what is offered in the Synaptic Package Manager perhaps? I have a screen shot of that, but it occurs to me that I have never seen anyone post a pic to this list. If it's ok, let me know, and I'll show what is available to me in the package manager. Still having problems getting my Yaesu FTM-3207D to connect with CHIRP-daily, using Ubuntu Linux 20.04. The connection dialogue does not specifically show this radio, so I use the nearest selection FTM-3200D. Then when selecting the Port type and number, it only offers serial ports /dev/ttyS0 thru 31, and no USB ports. All thoughts and help greatly appreciated? Many thanks and 73,

Hello Discussion, Running SLINT, Slackware International, based on Slackware 14.2. I cannot install chirp because there is no libxml2mod. Just installed CHIRP-daily 20210429 to use with my Yaesu FTM3207D (FTM-3200D on menu). When connecting the radio to the laptop (Linux Ubuntu 20.04) and starting CLONE I keep on receiving an error message errno-13 regardless of which ttysx I select. It also tells me permission denied. And so no connection made. Which permission needs changing and how please? There's no provision for that within the CHIRP software, that I can see. If its a Linux permission for the software (which I doubt), then why does the CHIRP software function in other respects? Help would be appreciated, please? Thanks and 73,

I have a Baofeng UV-82 that was programmed, I downloaded the codeplug, added a frequency then uploaded the new codeplug to the radio. When I went to turn the radio back on, there was only a faint display visible on the top line. It looks like a series of black rectangles. Doesn't go beyond that, no channel, no frequency, none of the keys respond. I tried taking the battery out and turning it back on... no help. Tried downloading front the radio... nothing. Is the radio bricked or is there something else that I can try ? tnx Mike VE7SML

Hi my friend! You received this letter because you are in the chirp_users(a)intrepid.danplanet.com mailing list. We use the CHIRP program to work with our radios. This great program can run on Windows, Linux, MAC OS. But I would like to be more mobile and run CHIRP on my phone. Imagine how cool it would be! I want to start with one radio, Baofeng UV-5R. Because I have it and I can test the application with one. New devices will be added according to my ability and ability to test this application. I will trust that I will succeed. To be honest, I'm not an expert in mobile app development. But I will become one! And developing CHIRP for a smartphone would be a good practice that would benefit everyone. I would like to write such an application and would appreciate any help with this. If you can help me with this development, please contact me by email. P.S.
