[chirp_users] Baofeng GT-3TP - Programing difficulty

Hi, last month ago I purchased two of these radios and after attempting to program them with the provided software to no avail, I was introduced to CHIRP by a friend of a friend. He had just completed successfully programming two separate brand name’s of radios. However when we got to the Baofeng GT-3TP radios his luck to change. We have tried everything we could find on the CHIRP WEB PAGE but have never gotten beyond cloning screen, it says: “AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED”. We were using the BF-F8HP model selection and have followed every direction we could find, step by step and did so utilizing Windows XP, 7 and 10. Nothing worked for us! I am now on my own in trying to program these and am a beginner… So, can anyone advise me what to do next please? [chirp_users] TS-2000 CVS imports fail...

What am I doing wrong to program 100 Kenwood TS-2000 memories the easy way with Chirp??? I installed CHIRP daily-20170627 on Mint 18.2, downloaded my radio, wrote out a CSV file, constructed what I want, saved that CSV, and when I try to import it, via: start Chirp, start radio, DL radio: I see the existing memories fine. I import my CSV file: "There was an error during import: `?' is not in valid list: t: ['WFM', 'FM', 'NFM', 'AM', 'NAM', 'DV', 'USB', 'LSB', 'CW', 'RTTY', 'DIG', 'PKT', 'NCW', 'NCWR', 'CWR', 'P25', 'Auto', 'RTTYR', 'FSK', 'FSKR', 'DMR'] I click OK and Chirp appears to hang with the message: "Preparing memory list..." (I kill it after 10 minutes). I've looked at my CSV file: there is no '?' character in the file. I see nothing wrong (I fixed default values for rToneFreq and cToneFreq). [chirp_users] Serial Cable not Found on Max

I loaded the FTDI driver but Chirp does not see it. When bring up the app all that appears is the "Bluetooth-Incoming-Port" and the app returns n error. I am running 10.12.5. Thanks for the help -- Sent from John's iPhone

There is a 4 year old rquest to be able to program an ICOM M802 (#641). The request entry status is still "new", and I could not see anywhere where it was responded to. So is there a clone radio to select from to use to program the Marine/Ham version of this radio? Has anyone done it, if so, may be wecan communicate offline? Thanks Walt N6STM

That would not work. Being only 0.1 Hz off is well within the tolerance. All you would have to do is program 146.2 and they would be able to use it. You would need a frequency far enough from the standard ones that a decoder wouldn't recognize it. OK, good point. So how about... Does anyone have a scanner or $10 SDR receiver that can listen on input! IF the PL is really 146.3, maybe that's for a reason, to prevent unauthorised use or just to block radios that weren't supplied by that manufacturer. Talking of that, do you know who the manufacturer of the repeater is?? [chirp_users] PL tone 146.3 not available to use

Hello. I have a baofeng hp 82 and I used the older software to program it and it works great with our repeater. Then I got a btech 50 and downloaded the chirp software to program it but I cannot get it to work right off our repeater. One of the problems is that the pl tone box only has a drop down box and preset pl tones and ours is 146.3. I can't figure out how to put that tone in the chirp program. I have tried to manually input it into the radio itself and it won't work. I had this problem with the bf82 also before I got the software and programmed it with the computer instead of putting it into the radio. Can anyone help?

Dear chirp developers, I wanted to point out that the program chirp version microsoft (win7 -win10) in portable mode when i boot it up and i want to change the language in italian or another language, the program continues to stay in english. Valerio
