[chirp_users] UV5RA+ unusable or noisy frequencies

Here are some of the frequencies my radios have trouble with, do others get this or have more frequencies? UV5RA+ with RH901 antenna frequencies you can not use unless squelch is set above 30/128 +-5 Khz 416.0 422.195 423.0 424.675 442.0 468.0 Are they unlisted beacons or internal ? grid area FN96

[chirp_users] Baofeng GT-5TP

Hello All, I've read on a few amazon reviews that the Baofeng GT-5TP can be programmed using chirp using the UV-82HP setting. I can not get the radio to work with any of the Baofeng radio drop downs. I did download the actual Baofeng software and that works, and also works fine with my Anytone so it isn't a cord issue. Any thoughts on how to get chirp to communicate with the radio? The "ident" of the UV-82HP radio (and possibly other recent Baofeng radios) now changes based on the band limit settings. When setting a band limit to "1" or and value ending in "01" (101, 201, 301, etc.), the value ends up in the "ident" and is stripped by the code that was added to support the UV-6 with the longer 12 byte "ident". This patch uses a different strategy to support the UV-6 with longer "ident" restoring the use of any selectable band limit value. [chirp_users] Skip function seems to not work

Hi, I am trying to skip a channel in a Yaesu ft-7900r. I have set the "S" for the channel I want to skip In Chirp but is seems to do nothing. Anyone have any words of wisdom to accomplish this task? Thanks, K5WAS

Hi friends, I am signing up for USAF MARS today, and I've made the extended transmit range modification to my Yaesu FT-857D. Now CHIRP no longer works with the radio, reporting an error message about an unexpected value in the first block. (I apologize for not having copied the exact error message -- I can get that if it would be helpful.) Has anybody achieved success using CHIRP with a MARS-modded FT-857D? If so, what is the trick to this? David / K7DB
