Hi, Doing some more tinkering I discovered the memories 800 to 849, being read by Chirp as bank A, are actually the band edge scan memory pairs. These are used by the IC-92AD to scan a band of frequencies by setting the upper and lower limits. Some scanners used the term "limit scan". This means they don't have _bank attributes yet Chirp is trying to read bank attributes for them, hence the error: AttributeError: Memory instance has no attribute '_bank So now we know what those extra memories are, Chirp wasn't reading too many, just including the band edge scan memories with bank A. Hopefully this makes it easy to to fix the bug. I did update the bug report with the new finding while I was at it. Running build 20160301 in Ubuntu 14.04 Wenlock VK3YWB

[chirp_users] Displaying odd repeater splits

Hi, I'm am a long-time user of VHF radios starting with a VX-150 some 15 years ago and switching to Baofeng UV-5R when they were relatively new. I have been using Chirp to program my UV-5R since I first got the radio. One thing that I find annoying about how Chirp works with repeater splits is that it shows it as a + or a -. Most people I deal with in Canada give me frequency pairs. And I haven't found an easy way to get Chirp to show me the actual frequency (as opposed to the +/-.) When I enter a frequency as a "split", it immediately gets converted to "+/-" and there seems to be no way to get Chirp to show it as a "split". This makes it really hard to confirm that I have the correct frequency entered; I need to do frequency math in my head or paper which increases the likelihood of errors. It would be great if Chirp had a setting that allowed me to say "Always show splits using the format entered" or "Always show splits in: " and let me choose between +/- and "split". If there is a way to do this, please point me to the documentation (I couldn't find any); if there is not, is this already an open issue (I couldn't find one). And if neither is the case, should I go ahead and create a new issue? Thanks, Gerard

[chirp_users] Newbe problem

I'm new to using Chirp and have hit a stumbling block trying to program my UV5R. I am able to download a *.img file from my radio, ex[port to an Excel *.cvs file, make changes to the Excel file and then export as a *.chirp file, load the *.chirp file into program but am unable to up load the file to my radio. The original file downloaded from the radio is a *.img and I find no options in the Chrip program to export as a *.img file. Holding down the 3 key when turning on the radio displays BFB297. Any help would be appreciated. 73, Danny, K6MHE
