ok…so what is the trick? I am trying to get the Sainsonic AP510 to communicate with Chirp. Its not getting all of the information and gives me an error. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be great. JC Laucks KF5WHC

Is there any place I can upload... say a "serial dump" file of communication between it and some propriety software (named SV83) ? I managed to create a serial sniffer cable, so if I have a place to upload it, then you guys could inspect and add support for it. Heck I think having a dedicated place to upload serial dumps would be great for reverse engineering efforts.

It is better to do that early on rather than later. Hello to all. I’m very new to Chirp. I’ve installed the Python package and the daily build that supports my radio the Baofeng BF-F8HP. I’m using the BaoFeng FTDI Programming cable. A USB to serial port appears when I plug it in. When I try to download the radio’s memory, I get the error “Radio did not respond”. Chirp seems to run fine. Could anyone tell me of any procedure I’ve missed or has experience using OS X Yosemite with Baofeng HT’s? David Kickbusch
