[chirp_users] No VFO mode in VX-2r

I recently started using CHIRP to program my VX-2R. All went fine, have uploaded to the radio, but now the radio is stuck in Memory mode ( lock is off) and also can't get into SET mode. I have checked all the settings but can't figure out why it is doing this. I did a total reset and the VFO mode came back, so I uploaded the frequencies again with CHIRP and now can't get back into VFO mode. Any help would be much appreciated. Mike VE7SML

A friend who has an older .img that works on his radio gave me t file to try. His works and shuts off transmit. I get this error message when I try to load his image Must be a newer version of firmware. Other than that the CHIRP software handles the radio fine. Dick, K3VYY

In the UV 82L, when adding frequencies that have four to five digits to the right of the decimal point how do you get the last one or two digits in there?

The Yaesu FT-8800R is listed in Chirp supported radios. However it is not available in the Mac version of Chirp: chirp-daily-20151023.app.zip <http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/chirp-daily-20151023.app…> There is no later daily build of Chirp for Mac. Can I use the Yaesu FT-8800 listing in Chirp for the FT-8800R? 73, Guy Immega VA7GI

[chirp_users] Help with Chirp and Alinco DR 235

I have good communications between the computer and the radio. It reads and writes successfully, except ... I get an error message on write even though the radios says "PASS". The error message is " An error has occurred. Failed to communicate with radio. 'Serial' object has not attribute 'read'." I did a full reset, downloaded and installed the latest Chirp version and it still says the same thing. I am running Windows 7. The other strange thing the radio does now is that it shows empty channels with the VFO contents and the 'M' blinking when in the memory mode. That hasn't happened before. There is nothing in the menu settings related to this and I cannot find anything regarding this new feature in the manual. Any help would be appreciated. N5DQ

I am sure this has been covered a million times BUT I cannot get Chirp to run on my HP6540 laptop running 32 bit Win 10.
