Right now, we have a few places where this is needed and it's badly faked like this: struct_format = "struct { u8 foo; u8 bar; }" mem_format = struct_format + "struct1;" + struct_format + "struct2;" This new change to bitwise will allow us to behave more like C and do: mem_format = """ struct mytype { u8 foo; u8 bar; }; struct mytype struct1; struct mytype struct2; """ The bitwise grammar changed a little, but it's still compatible with the existing definitions and all of the tests still pass. #93

Feature #114 [Dan Smith <dsmith(a)danplanet.com>] Fix a long-standing bug in bitwise that prevented declaring structs in arrays of length less than 2 (including standalone structs). Lumping into Bug #93 [Dan Smith <dsmith(a)danplanet.com>] Make the Edit->Copy operation package up the source radio's feature set and pass it to Edit->Paste, which can use it to do an import_mem() operation on the resulting memory object before pushing it into the destination radio. This makes a Copy-Paste operation behave exactly like a File->Import operation. It also fixes the case where you get silly warning/errors if you Copy-Paste between dissimilar radios. Fixes bug #113 [Dan Smith <dsmith(a)danplanet.com>] Change import_logic.import_mem to take just the feature set of the source radio, which is all that is really necessary and avoids needing a reference to the whole radio to do an import. I have written basic support for RadioReference.com import for Chirp. Currently I can enter my zip code and import all the frequencies for my county that are in the RadioReference database. With a bit more work, I could improve this interface so that any group of frequencies could be imported, not just by zipcode. Would anyone use this? It requires a Premium Subscription to RadioReference. Most of their data are outside the ham bands, so this will be most useful for those of you with wide-band receivers supported by Chirp. If no one is interested, I won't bother putting any more time into this feature. Tom KD7LXL

I download latest version of Chirp 0.2.1 using win XP pro, set Com1 computer to 9600, and Yaesu 857d to same. My com1 works OK, using Ham radio deluxe. I can not get CHIRP to read or write? When trying to read I have about 4-5 memories programmed into the 857d and when I try to Upload them, , a widow pops up says CLONING, and than after awhile, am ERROR pops up.unab;e to read block, 00 expected 4 got 0.!!! when I try to write Click on a previously stored CVS file with 4 memories listed, , click on upload to radio, radio window comes up ,com1 Yaesu, CSV, click OK, nothing happens. Bottom right of Chrip screen , shows 0 completed getting memory 1000 Any help would be appreciated, .
