HI Gentlemen, Jim was right. Chirp will program the Baofeng UV-8HX lie to Chirp and say you are trying to program model BF-F8HP.

However, I had issues with Chirp. I'm using Windows 10. Sometimes the download from the radio would clone just fine. More often it would not and an error message appeared. I found it necessary to delete/uninstall the chirp files, reboot, and then again download the chirp-daily files.

Perhaps, I am not using Chirp correctly. Can you give a clue as to what is causing this issue or how to avoid it in the future? As I said earlier, when it did clone it worked just fine.

Thanks for your efforts in developing this excellent program. I will try next to use it with my Icom IC-7000.
