I have found that the "Other" tab (mem.extra) in the channel memory properties pop-up window only supports Boolean and List RadioSettingValue calls. I need an Integer object for the TYT TH-UV8000D/E driver under development. Would it be appropriate to modify the memdetail.py in the _make_ui function, at about line 270 to add editor declarations for RadioSettingValueInteger, RadioSettingValueFloat and RadioSettingValueString editors?

Do you mean the "Epilogue(STE)" setting exposed in the two Retevis radios? STE normally means "Squelch Tail Elimination", which sends a reverse tone burst before dropping the carrier to make sure the code squelch on the receiving end slams shut before the carrier drops to avoid a burst of static.
