[chirp_devel] Beginner steps
Hi,
I hope it is ok to ask for help before I delve into the code. I installed the requisite software on a fresh Ubuntu 12.04 system and built the chirpw application. On first launch it complained about not finding chirp.png. I fixed that with a copy. However, now it launches a new window with Chirp in the menu line but it will not present any menu or respond as far as I can tell. In the background window it show registration for all of the radios it supports. This happened to me on first launch in Windows 7 but the second time I launched it gave me a pull down menu of radios. No such luck on Linux. I tried it with a live radio in the serial port and still nothing. Any advice?
Thanks,
Alan Hill

Ubuntu hides menu options unless your cursor is over the menu (nothing to do with Chirp).
