Re: [chirp_devel] [PATCH 0 of 1 ] Wouxun KGUV6D/X support
Hi. Please pardon me for breaking threading: I had not been aware of the devel mailing list (just now subscribed), and the mailing list archives (txt.gz) don't yet include your message so I can't get a Message-Id.
Please note that:
- this patch has to be applied over the repository version NOT on my cross tone patch, we'll merge the two later
Is there any chance that you're missing an hg push? 3f840fd717 is not in my copy of the sources [ http://d-rats.com/hg/chirp.hg , current tip is e7cbbe3465f1 ]. Patch fails, and I don't dare hand-apply it because the surrounding context is suspiciously different. Or am I using the wrong repo?
Thanks, and regards, Ed
WAF.... I missed the wouxun_menu_lock.patch from when sending patch to the list .... sorry
So people ... my patch is to be applied after this one http://chirp.danplanet.com/attachments/134/wouxun_menu_lock.patch from Dan.
Thank Ed for pointing it out.

Yep ... I figured that out about a minute before receiving your email.
Report: your patch looks very good. "Menu available" was unchecked when I connected to my radio. I (gulp) dared to check it and upload. And my radio menu button now works.
Thank you! Ed

I assume you mean this:
rf.valid_bands = [(136000000, 175000000), (370000000, 513000000)]
On my KG-UV6X in VFO mode the band limits seem to be [136,175), [375,512) where square bracket indicates inclusive, parenthesis exclusive (i.e. I can manually enter 136.000 and 174.9975, but not 175.000).
As a fun fact, those ranges do not match any of the ones listed under Technical Specification, p.59 of my KG-UV6X User's Manual :-).

Yep! btw the meaning is [136,175), [370,513)

Tnx, I will correct it.

That's why I asked you to try: chinese seems not so good in documentation ;)
