This way, existing users that have it already set won't see it magically change on them. Anyone who has never toggled the value shouldn't have it set in their config, which means they'll get the new value of enabled-by-default.

OK. I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I renamed my config file and when I saw the setting was the way I wanted I thought I found what I needed to change.
You are absolutely right, we don't want to change an already existing setting, we only want to establish a default if it has never been set.
Thanks for walking me through this. I will take a close look at this after work and submit another patch.
