I tried building and testing under Linux and things worked fine. I noticed the zip file is named for the version under Linux and unknown with zeros under windows
Is CHIRP only meant to be developed using Linux or do I have a setup problem?

Hi Eric,
It must be something to do with your setup. I almost exclusively do my CHIRP development on a Windows 7 Home 64-bit desktop.
