Hi Fred,I hope you're doing well!I finally got my new FTM-500 out.I inserted a new 32 gb microSD card, turned the radio on, added my call sign at the initial screen, then I formatted the card.I then did a backup of ALL settings to the microSD card.I hadn't done any changes or added any memories or anything. Just stock from the factory. After doing the backup there were a number of directories and files in the root of the microSD card. I'm not 100% sure which file is the backup image, but I think it is the CLNFTM500D.dat file that I've attached to this email.Let me know if you'd like me to get you anything else.I'm not sure if there's a firmware update available or not. Let me know if you'd like me to send you a backup after doing the firmware upgrade.I'd love to get FTM-500 supported in Chirp. Let me know if I can help in any way.Best,Dave BouchaOn Wed, Dec 20, 2023 at 3:18 PM <dropkick23@gmail.com> wrote:Thank you for the offer.Take your time, enjoy the holiday.FredOn Wed, Dec 20, 2023 at 11:24 AM David Boucha <boucha@gmail.com> wrote:Fred, is next week ok? If you're wanting to start on the FTM-500 driver this week, I can go open the box up and make an image for you today. Otherwise I'll just do it next week if you're not in a hurry.I am VERY interested in helping adding FTM-500 support to Chirp. So let me know if you'd like an image today. On Tue, Dec 19, 2023 at 10:46 AM Fred Munden via chirp_devel <chirp_devel@intrepid.danplanet.com> wrote:I would like to request a SDCard BACKUP.dat file for FTM-500. ADMS software requires a read from the radio or BACKUP.dat file to function. I don't have a radio. Thinking of starting a project to add FTM-500 to chirp and need an image to evaluate._______________________________________________Thanks,Fred
