Running both the current release and a development version of CHIRP and to me it appears that the gtk tooltips are not working (see images). Is this a windows platform issue for gtk ? Can anyone send me a working tooltips example image?
Is it true that the .po language files are out of date? since 2015 or so for the german language. I get weird results between shipped version and development version (see images). From a quick review of the .po file I gather that python is using source module + line numbers do somehow build translations for run time. If so, the line numbers are way out of whack and the module references still have old package structuring references such as chirpui/mainapp.py which was moved to chirp/ui/mainapp.py Sorry, I'm not used to this strategy. msgid or resource id to message files or resource files is in my history, so this is new to me.
