All,
I think I made finding a radio in the Baofeng/Pofung section of the Supported Radio Wiki page a bit easier. I kept a copy of the source for the original layout if needed; but I believe it's better now. I've added the BF-V9 as a BF-888 variant as described in #7623.
All, and especially Jim, please let me know if there are any errors.
Thanks and 73 Bernhard
Hi Bernhard,
Thanks for working on this. I was just noticing a couple of days ago that UV-9S and UV-9R are out of alphanumeric order and could be swapped.
I placed the "(2 power levels)" comment after UV-5R and "(3 power levels)" comment after BF-F8HP to help owners with one of the many Baofeng UV-5R like models to choose the the appropriate base model selection for their radio based on the number of power levels it has. So the " 3 power levels" notation can probably be removed from comment for all of the models that reference the BF-F8HP as the base model to choose.
Another possibility would be to add a separate "and variants" list for the models with 3 power levels similar to the list provided for UV-5R variants (or add section to the existing UV-5R variants list) and move these models that that list.
Normally for the Baofeng/Pofung models, when a group of models is separated by "/" characters, I consider the first (leftmost) listed model as the model to choose in CHIRP. The BF-666S/777S/888S breaks this. My thinking is that this should be changed to BF-888S/666S/777S. Then the models that say "(use BF-666S/777S/888S)" can be change to "(use Baofeng BF-888).
Once again thank you for all the work you have been doing on this and the issue tracking system.

There is no separate selection for UV-82C in the drop-down list for CHIRP. It uses UV-82 and should be moved into the "UV-82/82L/82X" group.
