I was just looking over reporting.py, and was curious if you could open up the data for others to look at. Here's a few ideas I had: we could see exceptions thrown as variants of existing models are brought out by the manufacturers It would be nice to find common exception stacks and see if they're bugs that we can fix Adding version info would be a big help. it would be good to know if there's a new exception hit on dailies that's not in 0.4.1, or vice versa 1+2 would also help catch if memory locations are wrong or have changed Cheers, Patrick (KG7NSC) Sent from Windows Mail

I submitted a round of patches to kenwood_live.py a few weeks ago, but I can't mark the issues as 'resolved’ in redmine. I do see the revision numbers attached, I just need to fix the bug status. So im trying to add an image for th9800 for built in test support, but its failing on some of the test - I want to know exactly why. TYT TH-9800 Detect PASSED: All tests TYT TH-9800 CopyAll PASSED: All tests TYT TH-9800 Clone PASSED: All tests TYT TH-9800 BruteForce CRASHED: None is not in list TYT TH-9800 Edges CRASHED: None is not in list TYT TH-9800 Banks SKIPPED: Banks not supported But it doesnt provide a backtrace or anything. Before I go digging just wondering what BruteForce and Edges tests do...

Does anyone know how to decode the frequency? I'm looking at an ICF file produced by Icom's CS-F500 software for an IC-F520 land mobile radio. It wasn't hard to find where in the file memory channels are stored. Unfortunately, the frequency isn't stored as a simple integer nor does the scheme for decoding IC-2100 frequencies work. [chirp_devel] Newer TYT TH-UV3R firmware

Hey guys, I recently found myself in possession of a TYT TH-UV3R that had difficulty interacting with CHIRP. I poked around a bit, and it seems that this one has a significantly different memory map from the version that CHIRP works with. The OEM software for the "TH-UV3R25" works great for programming this radio, so I suspect that the difference is that this is the "2.5 kHz" version (possibly the same as "the American version"?). I've submitted a patch that works well for programming the radio I have, and I wouldn't be surprised if this resolves #1227 (http://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/1227) and opens up the possibility of tackling #353 (http://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/353). Am I on the right track here, adding support for a model distinct from the existing TH-UV3R? Can anybody else confirm that the distinguishing difference is the 2.5kHz frequency step? Should we find a way to detect the difference firmware versions from dumps? Anybody else more familiar with this radio have an idea of where to look in the memory map for a firmware version? -Eric AG6IE
